Outstanding event: Liebherr România, Genco’93, Cosim Trading & Fayat România
Liebherr Romania kept the tradition going on with a new event "in house" in partnership with Genco’93 and Cosim Trading. This year a new partner joined the club - Fayat Romania. Over 60 equipments were exhibited, tested, checked next to Bucharest, the capital of Romania. By far, the tower crane MK110 was the main attraction of the day which soon after the event ended was moved to start working at National Stadium Lia Manoliu, biggest soccer stadium scheduled to be ready in 2011.

Over 1000 guests had the opportunity of hands-on experience with Liebherr wheeledloaders, excavators or transport machines. The whole event domintaed the construction event scene. Construction Expo Machinery, the only one of this kind, which took place the very next week in Bucharest at Romexpo is quickly approaching bankrupcy as it was sabotaged by local member of Construction machinery dealers who decided not to participate and organize their own events in house.
Exhibitions: Construction Expo Machinery - close to bankruptcy
Bucharest hosted a traditional exhibition - Construction Expo Machinery. With visitor number decreasing every year, the exhibition lost the support of Association of construction machinery dealers (ADUC). ADUC gather together the most important dealers of world wide construction machinery brands, representing 90% of the market share. This year to cover costs and space the organizers of Construct Expo Machinery mixed exhibition from a different field, such as Expo Flowers. So, the machinery could be admired among cheese and traditional Romanian food products. Finaly, the touch of Oriental bazaar made everybody unhappy, Construction Expo Machinery facing a real danger – disappearance.
Biggest stadium in Romania
Reconstruction of Lia Manoliu stadium scheduled for 2011

Reconstruction of Lia Manoliu National Stadium located in Bucharest will finally cost Romania 170 mil euros, over 20 mil. EUR than initially estimated. Max Bögl, the German construction company said at the beginning that the work will be ready by May 2010, but now the delivery date was postponed for December 2011. While at the beginning only the galleries were supposed to be covered, recently Bucharest Hall has decided to cover also the playground with a mobile roof. The roof 239 x 203 m has two distictive parts: the fixed roof over the galleries and the mobile one above the playground which will expand in about 15-20 minutes. Projected at 50m high above the ground hosts at the very centre a cube where 4 huge screens will be placed for technical data, broadcasting or advertising. The stadium will be dedicated to soccer and rugby and will have 54.800 places.

JCB - WORLD’S BEST SELLING BACKHOE LOADER GETS EVEN BETTER
CB’s world beating range of backhoe loaders today moves further ahead of the competition with the unveiling of a new generation of machines which offer customers more versatility, productivity, cost efficiency and comfort. Today at Bauma the wraps came off the most efficient JCB backhoe loader ever, offering customers average fuel savings ranging from six to 16% at typical daily work rates, largely achieved through the introduction of a new EcoDig system incorporating three hydraulic pumps. Users will be hit immediately by the striking new design of the machine, which exudes ruggedness and strength thanks to a re-styled counterweight and new vertical grille pressings which offer an even more aggressive feel. The sharper lines on the excavator and loader profiles contribute to the robust look, while the sloping bonnet retains excellent forwards visibility.
KOMATSU - has developed a new diesel engine technology that is compliant with the new emission regulations for Japan, North America and Europe. While the current regulations for these countries are very stringent on emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM), upcoming standards will require further reductions of NOx and PM down to about 10% of today’s levels. To reduce NOx, the combustion temperature must be lowered, which in most cases will increase the amount of PM and worsen fuel economy. Therefore, the development of diesel engines necessitates the simultaneous reduction of both NOx and PM, while also improving fuel consumption. In addition, construction equipment engines are required to generate high performance, and to often work at maximum power output and torque due to very demanding applications.
MERLO - Panoramic P 50.18 HM. Its 5-ton load capacity and its 18-metre lift height ensure productivity in any application, even in the most challenging ones. From the outside, it is immediately obvious that despite its impressive size, this is a good-looking machine and it has a wide and generous cab. All controls are arranged in such a way that they are extremely user-friendly, and can be easily operated and monitored thanks to the Merlin system, which electronically manages all the operating parameters of the machine. Both the driver’s seat and the steering wheel can be adjusted, and the air conditioning system with numerous air vents maintains an ideal temperature inside the cab. This new model is powered by a NEF Tier 3 six-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine with an aftercooled turbocharger. With an abundance of torque, the engine is combined with Merlo’s traditional hydrostatic transmission, giving infinitely variable speed from zero to the maximum 40 kph.
FAYAT - The Top TOWER 4000, belongs to the MARINI Top TOWER family and this is the world premiere of the 260 T/h model. This machine is a high-capacity addition to the family of plants with an established reputation in the 180 to 200 T/h range. EVOLUTION and ECOLOGY are the key words of the TT 4000, which has been designed with the next twenty years in mind. It is capable of producing all types of hot, warm and half-warm materials, with or without recycled materials, as these methods are the only sure ways to guarantee the reduction of CO2 emissions in the future. The development of warm-mix and low-energy asphalts on the one-hand, and the increased use of recycled materials on the other, are the two main and essential development focuses for production plants. For all that, manufacturers must not fall into the trap of tailor made concept plant machines for specific needs as it takes several years to discover whether the right choices have been made. The TT 4000 belongs to this new generation of plants required for the future, but which are also compatible with present-day requirements – versatile, multi-purpose machines that can EVOLVE according to needs and trends and be adapted over a long period of time corresponding to the service life of the equipment, i.e. 20 years or more.
